The Background Update task checks for updates to { -brand-short-name } when { -brand-short-name } is not running. This task is installed automatically by { -brand-short-name }, and is reinstalled when { -brand-short-name } runs. To disable this task, update the browser settings or the { -brand-short-name } enterprise policy setting “BackgroundAppUpdate”.
